Compared to "Incipit", in which I used the same type of letters, here the original chaos begins to turn into a form, into a more structured, less free shape. The geometric background lines provide a certain rhythm; they form a composition in itself that can be analysed from a Gestalt, retinal point of view;"Incipit", on the contrary, offeres no hints for a similar type of analysis. Combining letters in relation to a golden geometry gives them a somehow "classic" appearance, reminiscent of the geometric construction used to design them originally. The geometric scheme, similar to that proposed for the background, takes the letters back to theirorigins, so to speak. The title, emanating from "monogram" (digit, initial, acronym), opens to a series of interpretative possibilities: multiple writing, multiple handwriting, plurality of signs, complex digits... The causes and conditions that led to the creation of the work originated frommy need to work with built-up, designed elements. Both the letters and the background are the result of much study, drawing, decision-making during the conception. The way in which they are assembled is, on the contrary, quite "emotional", it is based on resonance. The content of the work is on the one hand human mind, able to control, shape matter and force it into established forms and dimensions: this is the origin of the shape of the letters and of the geometric construction of the background. On the other hand, the heart as well, capable of playing with the structures of the mind and creating free and "light" associations, finds expression too. Mind and heart interact in this work. What can be considered transient in this work is the shape, size and material of the objects that are part of it. What is original, on the contrary, is the energy set of the elements, their vibration. Within my life, this object represents a statement that faith in the laws of geometry (letters and background based on golden geometry) can be denied by overlapping elements, since the mixture of both geometries (relating both to the letters and to the background) actually generates something that is not so rigorous and leaves room for fantasy, dream, matter.
